Scaffold planks 8 are supported at each end on a right-angled triangular frame 5 which rests against a wall and is held in position by a pole 6 pivoted at the right-angled corner of the frame and passing through a slot 9 in the side forming the hypotenuse, a safety rail 14 being supported on poles 12 passing through holes in the frames and resting on the poles 6. The pole 6 is in sections or telescopically adjustable. The planks 8 are held in position by channels 13 on the frames.
