[Also in Division E1] A device for use in feeding hay to animals comprises a base 13 formed by a pair of beams spaced apart by transverse cross-pieces 17 and having their ends connected by end-pieces 12 forming runners for sliding the device over the ground. A barrier 24 is supported at an oblique angle to the base by means of struts 18, 20 and has spaced pairs of cross-bars 26 defining feeding stations 28. The device is placed adjacent the foot of a haystack so that livestock reaching through the barrier move the device inwardly towards the stack. Chains 32 are provided for connecting together a number of the devices.
