959,750. Saucepans. A. ZAVA, and S. RIZZO, [trading as ZAGRI SOC. A PORDENONE, UDINE]. Oct. 25, 1962 [Jan. 24, 1962], No. 40365/62. Heading A4A. A saucepan, in which milk or other liquid cannot boil over, comprises outer and inner vessels 1, 2 forming an enclosed space 6, 18 therebetween and the inner vessel having apertures 4, 5 so that convection currents cause the liquid to flow into the inner vessel through the apertures 5 and out of the inner vessel through the apertures 4. The inner vessel 2 is made of heat resistant plastic and has a rim 3, fitting into the vessel 1 and having oblique guides 9 for locking engagement with projections 10 on the vessel 1. Handles 22 on the inner vessel have a sloping portion engaged by the sloping sides of a lid 14 which, when inverted serves as a stand for the vessel 1. The outer vessel has a lip 11 to which a plastics handle 13 is screwed. In modifications the vessel 1 is conical, the rim 3 is detachable or is secured to the outer vessel and the vessels are lockd together by spring-urged hooks. A grille 8 of straight bars is provided so that the vessel serves as a drip pan in cooking vegetables.
