Abstract
958,839. Fuel cells. LEESONA CORPORATION. April 4, 1961 [April 13, 1960], No. 12059/61. Heading H1B. In a fuel cell, one of the electrodes at least, has a peripheral coating of non-conducting green nickel oxide which, when the electrodes of the cell are assembled, acts as a gasket and an insulator. One electrode 10 has a raised periphery 12 coated with non - conducting green nickel oxide and the other electrode 11 may be flat and have a similar peripheral coating 15, or may have no such coating, or may be identical in construction with electrode 10. The pocket formed between assembled electrodes is filled with electrolyte, e.g. potassium hydroxide. Specification 725,661 is referred to.
