Abstract

958,755. Rain hats. SEIDNERS Ltd., [trading as SEAGULL PRODUCTS]. April 8, 1963 [Sept. 17, 1962], No. 35347/62. Heading A3V. A plastic (e.g. polythene) rain hat is constructed from two pieces a main part 1, Fig. 1, which extends downwardly at 1a to form a depending portion which covers the nape of the neck and the coat collar and a smaller part 2 having a strengthening folded back part 2a fitting over the head and welded at 3 to the main part. A drawtape pocket is provided by welding a strip 4 on the inner surface of the main part the strip being of shorter length than the width of the main part. In alternative embodiments the hat is constructed either from a single piece of part circular shape plastic material, or two parts one part being of part circular shape, Figs. 4 and 5, not shown.
