[Also in Division G3] An auto-self-excited transductor SR is arranged in the rotor circuit of an induction motor M and has a control winding DC energized by the slip voltage rectified and backed by a constant voltage derived from the A.C. mains. The slip voltage appears across a variable resistor VR by which the motor speed is regulated; the constant voltage appears across a resistor A. Alternatively, the output of a tachogenerator may be used instead of the slip voltage.
