Abstract

A vulcanisable composition comprises at least one terpolymer of ethylene, an alpha-olefin and a linear diolefin or cyclic non-conjugated diolefin having a low degree of unsaturation and a butyl rubber. Specified are propylene, isoprene, butadiene, dicyclopentadiene, cyclopentadiene, 1-4-pentadiene, 2-methyl-pentadiene, 1-5-hexadiene, 2-phenyl-1-5-hexadiene, 1-4-hexadiene,1-5-heptadiene, 1-6-heptadiene, 1-5-octadiene and 2-6-dimethyl octadiene. The usual vulcanisation accelerators may be present. Specifications 858,067 and 957,103 are referred to.
