Abstract

955,030. Ventilating crank chambers. FORDWERKE A.G. Sept. 14, 1962 [Sept. 14, 1961], No. 35177/62. Heading F1B. A crank chamber is supplied with air under pressure by teeth or vanes 10 on the flywheel 9 and the crank chamber gases are removed by extractor means 7 connected to the interior of the valve gear cover 2. The air pressurized by the flywheel 9 is deflected into the crankcase from the clutch housing 8 by guide vanes 11. The gases flow from the crankcase through the push rod guides to the cover 2 which is connected by a pipe 7 to the intake 6 of the air intake filter 5.
