Abstract

A paving composition comprises aggregate, at least 10% by weight of the composition being composed of aggregate which will not pass through a sieve with a mesh of 1/8 inch and a minor proportion of a plasticized resin binder of a styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer that contains 1 to to 40% by weight of acrylonitrile. Specified plasticizers for the copolymers are tricresyl phosphate, dihexyl diisooctyl, didecyl and butyl isooctyl phthalates, and C25-C45 hydrocarbons. Aggregates specified are composed of limestone, basalt, gravel, slag and sand.
