Abstract
953,642. Bushing insulators. BROWN, BOVERI & CO. Ltd. Feb. 5, 1963 [Feb. 7, 1962], No. 4911/63. Heading H2C. An insulating bushing for high pressure gas insulated electrical switchgear has potential control plates 4 embedded in a resin casting 3, the casting being provided with channels 5 which extend from its interior to the inside faces of the control plates to permit the high pressure gas to enter any gaps formed by differential expansion between the control plates and the resin of the casing. The control plates may have holes which align with the ends of the channels 5 in the resin casting so that locating pins may be used during the casting process, and beaded stiffening edges 4a.
