An insulating bushing for a conductor of rectangular cross-section is made by casting resin 1 around a metal tube preferably comprising two channel members 4, 5. The fixing flange 2 is rhomboidal with fixing holes 6 so that by reversing the bushing the same fixing holes may be used whether the long side of the conductor is vertical or horizontal.
