Abstract

953,308. Ice skates. P. FLORJANCIC, and A. G. SCHMITT. Jan. 8, 1963 [Jan. 12, 1962 ; March 22, 1962], No. 900/63. Addition to 953,307. Heading A6D. The ice skate of the parent Specification is modified, in the case of the permanently fixed blade, by providing a metal reinforcing bar 23, extending between the sole and heel portions and toward them at 24<SP>1</SP>, 24<SP>11</SP> , the bar either being formed separately from, or as a flange to the blade 21. The projections 22 may be omitted. The anchoring means between the blade and the plastics material comprises either apertures 26 or " blind " pockets formed in the blade into which the plastics material flows during moulding. The sole and heel platforms are formed integrally as at 27.
