Abstract

The invention comprises dyestuffs which are mixtures consisting of one or more dyestuffs which in the form of the free acids have the formula <FORM:0952606/C3/1> wherein Pc is a phthalocyanine radical R1 and R2 are each hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon radical R3 and R4 are each hydrogen, cycloalkyl, or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, Y is alkylene, aralkylene, arylene-NH-alkylene, phenylene or substituted phenylene, X is chlorine or bromine, Z is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon or substituted hydrocarbon group linked directly or through an oxygen or sulphur atom to the triazine ring, a is 1 or 2 b is 1 or 2 c is 1 or 2 and (a+b+c) is 3 or 4. The phthalocyanine radical may be that of metal-free phthalocyanine or of copper, nickel or cobalt phthalocyanine. The dyes are made by treating a mixture of phthalocyanines of the formula <FORM:0952606/C3/2> with c molecular proportions of a triazine of the formula <FORM:0952606/C3/3> by reacting a mixture of phthalocyanines of the formula <FORM:0952606/C3/4> with one molecular proportion for each triazine ring of an aliphatic or aromatic hydroxyl or mercapto compound, or by reacting a sulphochloride or mixture of sulphochlorides of the formula <FORM:0952606/C3/5> where m is 0 or 1, n is 2, 3 or 4 and (m+n) is 3 or 4 with 1 to 2 molecular proportions of a compound of the formula <FORM:0952606/C3/6> and with a compound of the formula <FORM:0952606/C3/7> Examples are given. The dyes dye cellulose textile materials in conjunction with a treatment with an acid-binding agent and wool, silk, leather, synthetic polyamides and polyacrylonitriles from weakly alkaline, neutral or acid solution.
