952,481. Portable containers; brackets. M. DAVIS. Jan. 17, 1962 [Jan. 18, 1961], No. 2041/61. Headings A4A and A4B. [Also in Division E2] A portable container for tea and the like or industrial spare parts is attached to the under surface of a support, such as a shelf, by magnetic force so that the container hangs vertically below the shelf which thus closes the container. A magnetizable plate 3 is attached to the underside of a shelf 5 by screws 4 and the receptacle is positioned below and held there by means of magnets 2 secured to the receptacle adjacent its open end. Strips 6 of non-magnetic material are secured to the shelf by means of the screws 4 to act as a guide in positioning the receptacle. In another embodiment the shelf itself is of magnetic material or alternatively it may be non-magnetic with magnets attached to its under surface, the receptacle being of magnetizable material. The container may comprise a plurality of receptacles all closed by the same plate.
