A grain bin has a floor comprising a number of plates 10, Fig. 6, having downwardlyobviated flanges 11 fixed in channel-shaped members 12 with, if derived, the inter-position of a wedge 14, the surfaces of the plates being flush with one another so that there are no projections to interfere with scooping. The bin is mounted on a concrete foundation by supporting columns, Fig. 5, which are slotted to accommodate the members 12, see also Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown).
