Abstract

951,202. Manifolding stationery. ALACRA Ltd. July 27, 1961 [July 29, 1960], No. 26455/60. Headings B6A and B6F. Manifolding stationery comprising twc or more superposed record webs provided with interleaved transfer webs or coated with transfer material are held together by electrostatic or magnetic attraction. The webs may be held together by spots of permanently magnetic material applied thereto, which are located and polarised so that the material on one web attracts the material on an adjacent web, the magnetic material being applied in the form of an ink. The webs may be held together temporarily by a magnet on the platen of a typewriter attracting magnetic material applied to the webs as they pass around said platen. In the case of electrostatic holding, the webs may be charged individually by, for example, a corona discharge device as they approach the platen.
