Abstract

Concretes are prepared by adding to the conventional mix, 0.5 to 50% by weight, based on the weight of cement, of a copolymer of 20-80% vinyl chloride and 80-20% of vinyl proprionate in the form of an aqueous dispersion or a redispersible powder 0.5-60% by weight, based on the copolymer, of hydrocarbons may also be added e.g. benzene, toluene, xylene, the higher boiling aliphatics and the terpenes. The dispersing agent may be polyvinyl alcohol.
