946,912. Packages. ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS Inc. Oct. 24, 1962 [Oct. 26, 1961], No. 40290/62. Heading B8C. [Also in Division A4] A carrier for a pair of adjacent containers having axially and radially projecting rims 16 comprises a horizontal body 22 overlying the tops of the containers, a shoulder member 30 depending from the body for engaging beneath the rims and a pair of integral corrugated elements 64, 70 having inward facing edges 56, 58 traversing the corrugation and which snap in and engage the inner surface of the rim when the body is pressed down on to the container to flex the corrugated elements upwards. Body pegs 48, 50 prevent lateral movement, while body extensions 42 and openings 28 between the edges of the corrugations aid the stacking of sets of containers. The body is made of plastics material and may have a single downward spherical corrugation and pegs on its upper face for engaging the bottoms of stacked sets of containers. Finger holds 24, 26 are provided.
