An overlay for a seat comprises a sheet 1 having projections 2 to support a user of the seat clear of the sheet so that air can circulate, the sheet being formed by moulding and vulcanising natural or synthetic rubber and having a Shore hardness of 40 to 50 degrees. The projections may be frustro-conical with rounded free ends and equally spaced and the rubber composition based on a copolymer of butadiene and styrene.
