A return header cover on a return pass type heat-exchanger comprises an internal surface of which part is concave, of part spherical or paraboloid form, and part is convex, the cover projecting outwardly from the heat-exchanger. The convex part of the surface is opposite the return tube bank of the heat-exchanger, and may comprise two symmetrically placed partspherical surfaces, Fig. 3A, or a single partcylindrical surface, Fig. 4C. The cover may be a floating head cover.
