Abstract
944,735. Transistor oscillators. C. A. PARSONS & CO. Ltd. July 20, 1962 [Aug. 24, 1961], No. 30596/61. Heading H3T. [Also in Division G1] A variable frequency oscillator 2 (Fig. 1) comprises a transistor T having a tuned circuit L 1 , C 1 between the base and emitter, and a biasing resistor R 1 between the base and collector to provide stabilising negative feedback. The D.C. supply may be obtained from another oscillator 7 (Fig. 2) feeding through a static tuned circuit 6 to a tuned circuit 9, and rectifier and smoothing components mounted with oscillator 2 for rotation. The frequency of oscillator 2 is varied by a thermistor 1 connected across part of tuning coil L 1 .
