The method of making a cheap postal rate envelope defined in the parent Specification, is modified in that the pocket forming strip 15 is laid on the wall 10 so as to extend partly over the flap 14. It may also extend sideways over the flap 11, the flap 19 or both flaps 11, 19. The corners 18 may be cut away.
