Abstract

1,001,687. Envelopes. HAROLD WESLEY Ltd. June 16, 1964 [June 20, 1963], No. 24664/63. Heading B6A. An envelope for transmission at a reduced rate is provided at opposite ends with two flaps 11 and 12, flap 11 being closed during manufacture and flap 12 on filling. The flap 11 is provided with a line of weakness 14 and an adhesive 13 for securing the flap to the envelope. For inspection the flap 11 may be ruptured along the line of weakness 14 and folded subsequently about a further flap 15 secured to the inside of the envelope and the thus folded flaps introduced into a pocket 14 (Fig. 4, not shown) formed by said flap 15 and a ball of the envelope. Alternatively, the flap 12 may be sealed during manufacture.
