Abstract

943,903. Lubricating. F. MEYER. May 18, 1962 [Nov. 29, 1961], No. 19277/62. Heading F2A. A lubricating apparatus for the individual lubrication of a number of points has a hollow body 1 with two or more longitudinal and opposite series of holes 2 corresponding in number to the number of points to be lubricated, the holes of one series being disposed in alternate levels with the holes of the opposite series and said body being closed at each end by a head 3 or 6, the former receiving a lubricant inlet tube 4 and the latter receiving a rod 7 of a piston 8. The piston has two longitudinal ducts 9 therein each of which extends to a radial outlet 10 which is alignable with the holes 2. In use, the upward movement of the piston 8 allows entry of lubricant into the body 1 through a non-return valve 5, the lubricant also entering the ducts 9 of the piston 8. The downward movement of the piston closes the valve 5 and consecutively aligns the outlets 10 with the series of holes 2, which are connected, via non- return valves 13 and holes 12 of a cover 11, with the points requiring to be lubricated. Springs 14, Fig. 1, may be provided to increase the pressure of the lubricant.
