A label is attached to an article during blowmoulding by passing a web 15 between the mould halves 11, 12 and then closing the mould halves to trap the web between the tube 16 and the mould. The tube is then blown through a mandrel or a needle to form the hollow article. An edge 17 cuts off the projecting part of the web.
