942,001. Windscreen wipers. TRICO-FOLBERTH Ltd. March 1, 1960 [March 2, 1959], No. 7218/59. Heading A4F. The blade 20 of a windscreen wiper is shielded from air flow across the windscreen by a shroud 10 of a of a deformable mouldable material, e.g. polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene, mounted on the metal backing element 14 which supports the wiper blade for rocking movement relatively to the carrier assembly. The element 14 comprises parallel strips engaging in grooves in the blade 20 and joined by integral bridges 16 The shroud 10 is stiffened by interior and exterior transverse ribs 26, 28.
