Abstract
939,897. Turbidometers. UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION. July 2, 1962 [July 14, 1961], No. 25253/62. Class 97 (3). [Also in Group XXVI In a dust sampler wherein, during a test, suction is applied from source 7b through line 7a to cause gas to flow through a filter unit 10 wherein the dust is deposited, a cover 15 is provided which has a rubber diaphragm 15a connected by post 23 to a lever 19 pivoted at 20 to the top of cover 15, so that on applying the suction to start a test, diaphragm 15a moves inwardly to the dash-dot line position, lever 19 pivots about pin 20 and a hooked end portion 18 is released from a notch 12 on the body 8. A spring-pressed plunger 13 thereupon forces the cover 15 away from body 8 and it pivots downwardly under gravity about its hinge 11. Body 8 and retaining ring 9 may be removed from base member 4 to allow removal of the filter unit 10.
