Abstract

1,254,681. Ball-projecting device. M. TAKAGI. 3 Feb., 1970 [31 Oct., 1969], No. 5119/70. Heading A6D. A remote-controlled ball-projecting device (see Fig. 2) comprises an operating rod 6 with a tray 7 at its upper end. When a ball is placed on the tray and the tray is depressed, coil spring 10 coaxially mounted on rod 6 is compressed and rod 6 is releasably locked into a hole in slidable member 15. The rod is released to project the ball upwardly by means of an air pump connected to inflatable hollow body 16 by pliable air tube 21. The remotecontrol device may be mechanical rather than pneumatic, in which case a spring action releases the operating rod, (Fig. 6, not shown).
