Abstract

939,876. Moulding assemblies for concrete. M. LASSEN-NIELSEN. Sept, 29. 1961 [Nov. 24, 1960], No. 35380/61. Class 87(2). Tiny concrete components are cast in sections within a mould divided into sections by pre-cast concrete rings which are incorporated into the casting. A hollow prestressed concrete pile is cast in a mould comprising a trough shaped continuous steel bottom section 2 along which the precast concrete, rings 5 are placed at intervals and which support side mould sections 6 in pairs between successive rings 5 to complete the outer shuttering. The sections 6 are clamped by irons 8 against a resilient packing 9 around rings 5. Cylindrical steel core sections are supported against rings 5 by rings bearing against resilient packing 12. Steel reinforcement or prestressing wires 14 run continuously along the complete length through holes 13 in the rings 5 which may be reinforced with steel members 15. The sections between rings 5 may be individually cast by pouring concrete within the mould assembly and vibrating the mould which is attached through resilient yielding support 4 to a concrete raft 2.
