Abstract

939,407. Floor cleaning machines. R. G. DIXON & CO. Ltd. Sept. 13, 1962 [Dec. 20, 1961], No. 45670/61. Class 138 (1). A removable tank 1 for attachment to the handle 2 of a floor scrubbing or other floor cleaning machine has an outlet valve assembly 4 terminating in a nozzle 7 which co-operates with a flexible nozzle seal 8 connected to a conduit 9 leading to a delivery assembly on the machine head. The tank is located on the machine handle by pins 16 and 17 in co-operation with holes 16a and 17a. A latch member 18 biased by a spring 19 mounted in a bracket on the tank adjacent hole 17a prevents accidental removal of the tank. An actuating rod 10 for the cut off valve 5 passes through the tank and is split at its upper end 10a for quick release attachment to a rod 11 by means of a pin 12 and sliding sleeve 13. The rod 11 is threaded at its upper end to form part of an adjuster 14 connected to an operating cable 15 leading to an operating lever on the mcahine handle.
