[Also in Group XXVIII] The relatively rotating valve surfaces of an hydraulic pump are spaced apart by a predetermined gap by means of rollers, fluid bearings or hydrodynamically by tilting pads, and the gap is partially or wholly filled by a coating of solid non-metallic anti-friction material bonded to one surface. The material may be a synthetic resin to which may be added graphite or molybdenum disulphide. Specifications 824,945 and 850,010 are referred to.
