Abstract
936,675. Concrete mixers. LINER CONCRETE MACHINERY CO. Ltd. Sept. 4, 1961, [Sept. 10, 1960; Sept. 27, 1960], Nos. 3921/63 and 3922/63. Divided out of 936,674. Class 86. A concrete mixing plant comprises a mixer 10 and a self-supporting tower or stand 34b carrying on a swinging boom 34a a scraper shovel 11 operated by an hydraulic motor deriving its fluid supply from a pump driven by a motor of the mixer; control means for the scraper-shovel being mounted on the tower. As shown, the control means is a panel 35 (see also Fig. 2, not shown) from which also are controlled the swinging of the boom, a conveyer 20 for discharging cement from the loading skip 12, the water supply 14, the mixer 10 and an hydraulic cam 19 operating the mixer discharge door 15. The skip 12 may be associated with weighing mechanism. The control means may comprise switches controlling solenoid, magnetic or other valves by electric, pneumatic, mechanical or hydraulic circuit or by a beamed radio or sonic signal. The hydraulic motors may be arranged to serve more than one purpose, and operations may be arranged to control one another in sequence, e.g. the loading skip may open and close the water supply valve, the flow through which is adjusted so that the required amount is supplied.
