936,335. Insulating cable and wire joints. PRESSAC Ltd. Feb. 17, 1961 [March 2, 1960], No. 7454/60. Class 38 (1). Means for encapsulating an electrical component 5, having a lead 4 soldered (3) on to the end of a cable 2, comprises a split plastic inner member 6, clipped on to the cable insulation and enclosing the solder joint, and an outer plastic member 9, forming an enclosure for the component and compressing the split inner member about the cable insulation, when forced on to the said inner member. The inner member may be formed with an abutment 8 to arrest the travel of the outer member, which, in turn may be formed with a tube extension 11 carrying the outer contact wire of the electrical component.
