Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0936115/IV(a)/1> (wherein R represents a C1-4 alkyl group), and the preparation thereof by reacting a compound of the general formula <FORM:0936115/IV(a)/2> with ammonia. The products are useful as diuretic and hypotensive agents for oral administration and as intermediates for the preparation of other pharmaceutical agents. Specification 936,114 is referred to.
