Abstract

936,099. Transistor oscillator circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Feb. 9, 1962 [Feb. 11, 1961], No. 5066/62. Glass 40 (6). An oscillator comprises a pair of transistors 5, 6 whose collectors are connected together, and a tuned circuit connected between the common point of the collectors and the emitters of the first, the emitters of the second transistor being connected to the base of the first, and the base of the second transistor being connected to a tapping on the tuned circuit. As described, the tuned circuit comprises a capacitor 4 in parallel with a series arrangement of an inductor 1 and capacitors 2, 3 the tapping point for the base of transistor 6 being the junction between the capacitors 2, 3. The bias circuit for the base of transistor 6 includes a temperature sensitive resistor 7 for stabilization, and synchronization may be applied to the base of transistor 5 via capacitor 8.
