Abstract

936,027. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. AMF Ltd. Jan. 11, 1961 [Oct. 13, 1959], No. 34635/59. Class 102(2). Liquid is forced by gaseous pressure from a cylinder 12 into a cylinder 10 from which it is dispensed through a valve 26. A normally closed valve 36 is opened by an electro magnet 34 in circuit with pressure or level detecting means associated with the cylinder 12 so that if the pressure or level in the cylinder 12 falls below a critical value the valve 36 closes. The detecting means may be a pressure responsive switch in the line 24 above a non-return valve 28, a flat actuated switch in the cylinder 12 or as shown electrodes 30, 32 which form the gas disengagement means described in Specification 936,026. A switch 38 actuated by the valve 26 may be included in the circuit so that gas disengagement is effected only on opening the valve 26.
