935,260. Controllers. SCHWERMASCHINENBAU ERNEST THALMANN VEB. March 21, 1961, No. 10271/61. Class 38 (3). A cable-core 2 is provided with a sheath of metal in press 1, the sheathed cable 3 passing into an appliance 4 for grooving the sheath of the cable. A motor 7 for driving the grooving-tool has its speed controlled in accordance with the extrusion velocity by means of tachometer generator 8 driven from bearing-rollers 9. Further control of the speed of motor 7 is provided by potentiometer 11 which is adjusted when the appliance 4 is displaced from a neutral position so that the appliance is returned to that position. Excessive movement of the appliance 4 is prevented by limit switches 13.
