Abstract

A polymeric composition comprises a polymer containing at least 50% by weight of polymerically combined methyl methacrylate containing intimately dispersed therein from 0,75 to 2% by weight, based on the weight of the polymer, of a methyl-t-amino alcohol having the general formula <FORM:0934053/IV(a)/1> wherein R may be 2,3-dihydroxypropyl or hydroxyalkyl having from 2 to 5 carbon atoms, and R1 may be methyl or R, as a stabilizer against the effects of outdoor exposure. The polymer may be a copolymer of methyl methacrylate with styrene, alpha-methyl styrene, vinyl toluene, vinyl acetate or propionate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, acrylonitrile, or an acrylate, ethacrylate or chloracrylate, or a terpolymer of methyl methacrylate, styrene and alpha-methyl styrene. The stabilizer may be 3-dimethylamino-1,2-propanediol, dimethylaminoethanol, methyldiethanolamine or 1-dimethylamino-2-propanol. Specification 934,054 is referred to.
