930,864. Egg cartons. KEYES FIBRE CO. Aug. 18, 1960 [Aug. 19, 1959], No. 28632/60. Class 18. [Also in Group V] A moulded egg carton comprises, a plurality of upwardly extending pairs of wall members dividing the carton into egg-receiving compartments 17, the partitions so formed terminating in an upper portion 27 of single thickness of material, which separates the eggs at points of maximum diameter. Each portion 27 may be an extension of one of a pair of dividing walls 23, 25. Alternatively the single thickness may be obtained by compressing the upper portions of the dividing walls, Fig. 7 (not shown). The body section 1 has a ledge 40 with fasteners 42, hinged by member 41 to the sidewall 7. Elements 42 fit through slots 44 formed in stiffening elements 43 located on the cover section 3.
