Abstract

930,249. Piston and stuffing-box packing. LEATHERS CO. (ALTRINCHAM) Ltd. April 27, 1962 [May 10, 1961], No. 16952/61. Classes 122 (1) and 122 (5). Hydraulic packing comprises a moulded element 10 of leather reinforced by a layer 10 of plastics material moulded on to one surface of the element. The plastics material may be polyvinyl chloride or nylon. In a modification the layer 10 is moulded on the outer surface of the leather element. In other modifications the invention is shown applied to U, V and hot packings.
