[Also in Group XXIV] In a relay control for automatic closure of a motor vehicle engine throttle during upward gear changes, an input pulse at 16 operates flipflop circuit T1, T2, the trailing edge of the resulting output at 23 being selected by a diode 8 to produce a delayed output pulse. This is applied to a further flip-flop circuit T3, T4 to operate a relay 9 for a predetermined time. Alternatively, operating pulses may be applied at terminals 31 and 34.
