Abstract

929,603. Seed sowers. E. JORDAN. Sept. 18, 1961, No. 33306/61. Class 6(1). A seed sowing machine comprises a hollow cylinder 12 with seed openings 19, 19<SP>1</SP>, 20, 201 located below a hopper 6, the cylinder being provided with cores 24 which are loose inside the cylinder and have push rods 25 which extend into the openings, the arrangement being such that the rods 25 allow seeds into the openings adjacent the hopper and act as ejectors when the openings are adjacent to a discharge tube 8. The openings in the cylinder may be each formed with a groove on the outside of the cylinder and further grooves may be provided on the outside of the cylinder to act as agitators for the seed in the hopper.
