Abstract
A polymer of a mono-olefin is stabilized with a first component selected from aromatic and aliphatic disulphides, aromatic and aliphatic mercaptans, aromatic thioethers and aliphatic thiuramdisulphides, and a second component selected from phenols of formula OH-R[X]R1-OH where [X] is CH2 or a single bond and R and R1 are aromatic rings, derivatives of said phenols, and amines of formula <FORM:0927886/IV(a)/1> wherein R and R1 are benzene or naphthene. The polymer may be derived from ethylene, propylene, butene, methyl butene, methyl pentene, dimethyl pentene and/or dodecene. The products are useful for cable sheathing and wire insulation.
