917,100. Polyolefin/stabilizer compositions. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I. March 30, 1960 [March 31, 1959], No. 11126/60. Class 2(6) A polyolefin composition contains a polymer of an α-olefin CH 2 =CHR where R is alkyl or aryl, an epoxide resin containing the unit and an antioxidant capable of stabilizing polyethylene. The specified antioxidants are phenolic (including bisphenol sulphides) and #- thiodipropionate compounds. Many α-olefins are specified, those exemplified being propylene, butene, pentene and 4-phenyl butene-1.
