Abstract

926,834. Mounting drivers' cabs on support frames. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. March 23, 1962 [April 1, 1961], No. 11259/62. Class 108(2). The driver's cab 1 of a commercial vehicle is supported on the chassis frame 6, 7 by the rubber supports 2, 3, 4, the supports 3, 4 being either on the transverse centre plane of the cab or the transverse plane passing through the centre of gravity, and by a mounting comprising a helical spring and an associated vibration damper, e.g. the spring 5 and damper 8, Fig. 2 or the pair of springs 5<SP>1</SP> and dampers 8<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 3. The dampers 8<SP>1</SP> of Fig. 3 are mounted on brackets 9 attached to the frame 6 and the springs 5<SP>1</SP> on the transverse frame member 7<SP>1</SP>. The positions of the springs and dampers may be reversed in this example, or the dampers may be enclosed by the springs.
