Abstract

926,580. Girdles. LILY OF FRANCE Inc. Aug. 13, 1959 [Dec. 29, 1958], No. 27763/59. Class 141. A girdle comprises side panels 12 having V-shaped side edges 17, 18 ; 19, 20 for receiving the complementary edges of the substantially diamond-shaped front and rear panels 10, 11, respectively. The salient angles at the sides of the front and rear panels are slightly smaller than the angular recesses in the side panels. The apex 13 at the front of each side panel is higher than the apex 14 at the back, and the lower edge 21 of each such panel slopes downwardly towards the back. The diamondshaped panels have upward extensions 25, 26 of trapezium shape bounded by stiffeners 27. Stiffeners 30 also are provided at the sides of the girdle together with a sliding clasp fastener 28 at one side.
