[Also in Group XXIV] In a driving belt comprising groups of overlapping links 10 held by studs or clips 11, each link 10 comprises a plurality of layers of material, at least one of the layers consisting of nylon or other fabric whose warp strands predominate in number, thickness and/or strength over the weft strands. In the fabric layer 14 shown, the weft strand spacing exceeds that of the warp strands and the fabric is bonded between layers 13, 17 of leather. The layers 13, 17 may alternatively comprise a plastics material or a natural or synthetic fabric.
