In a system for automatically steering a flying body along a predetermined path, a control signal dependent on the magnitude of displacement from the path is combined with a further control signal derived from a heavily damped accelerometer responsive to acceleration in a direction at right angles to the direction of flight. The damping of the accelerometer is equivalent to integration so that the second control signal represents rate of displacement from the predetermined path and leads the displacement signal by 90 degrees.
