Abstract

924,324. Indoor games. E. J. M. LOMBARD. March 9, 1961 [March 10, 1960], No. 8738/61. Class 132 (2). In a race game having model cars movable on a track by magnets and controllable manually by individual players, each model has associated with it an electric circuit including an indicator scoring credit points or marking penalties, a way of causing the indicator to operate when the model stays beyond, in a certain part of its run, a predetermined speed and secondly a further way of causing the indicator to operate when the model exceeds a predetermined speed. In Fig. 1, reference 1 represents a member in movement fixed in its displacement with the member carrying the driving magnet from the movable piece or model car. Passage of member 1 acts on contact 2 to close circuit a containing electromagnet 3 and condenser 4, electromagnet 3 acting in turn on a contact 5 of circuit b, thereby forming a time-delay relay. Circuit b will only be closed if a contact 6 also actuated by member 1 is operated before contact 5 has re-opened. In circuit b is a similar electromagnet 7 matched with condenser 8 intended to produce in circuit c, which is normally closed, an interruption to stop driving motor 10 of one of the model cars so that if member 1 is operated too rapidly motor 10 is interrupted. Similar circuits operate in other phases of the game.
