Abstract
924,265. Collapsible containers. A. E. AIANO, and I. AIANO. Aug. 24, 1960 [Aug. 24, 1959], No. 28889/59. Class 18. An open-topped collapsible container comprises a bottom 1, side walls 2, 3, end walls 4, 5 and pivoted-handles 14, 15, each side wall being hinged to its adjacent end walls, and the bottom wall 1 hinged to the side wall 3, wall 2 being provided with supports 12 for the edge of the bottom wall. To collapse the container the handles 14, 15 are folded within the container and the bottom wall 1 folded against wall 3 and the whole container then being collapsed flat (see Fig. 3, not shown). The walls may be constructed of wire mesh or plastic. In a modification a single pivoted handle is provided, attached to edges 16 of the walls 2 and 3. The walls of the container may be trapezoidal in shape.
